Gauder Group is the valuable result of 5 companies, 300 persons, working in total synergy worldwide to ensure advanced, cost-effective and complete solutions to the wire and cable industries.

The group is composed of : POURTIER and SETIC (France), GAUDER (Belgium), Gauder Group China and Gauder Group USA.

The strategy

The Gauder Group has implemented a three axis strategy :

1. Develop and market Technically Advanced Machines in manufacturing systems for :

  • energy, low, medium and high voltage power cable
  • telecommunication and multimedia
  • special purpose cables

Among the main Rotating Machines cable companies across the world, Gauder Group is in the TOP ranking with its POURTIER High Voltage cable machines and SETIC LAN cable equipment. Both companies offer a wide range of bunchers, stranders and cablers. Over 1500 POURTIER lines (i.e. 10000 individual machines) and 4500 SETIC machines are in production worldwide.

2. Maintain and develop availability of a large, modern stock in Resale Machinery for the Wire, Cable and Fiber Optic Cable industries

Gauder Group is an international well-known LEADER in Second-Hand Machines for cable works and manufacture of wires. For 30 years now, GAUDER has delivered more than 10000 resale equipment !

3. Maintain and develop a World-wide Service Presence

To achieve a higher level of performance and extended lifetime of the machines, Gauder Group proposes a comprehensive range of Aftersales & Spare parts services is available, as well as a dedicated High Technology Bows department.

The companies

POURTIER – Gauder Group, the renowned manufacturer of Heavy Duty Rotating Machines

Created in 1860, POURTIER (Chelles, France) joined the Gauder Group in 2002. Giving the group a logical extension of expertise in design and manufacture of rotating machines, the company, with its R&D offices based in the suburb of Paris, offers reputed experience and state-of-the-art technologies in Stranding Machines for Power and Larger Cables production.

SETIC – Gauder Group, the well-known manufacturer of High Speed Rotating Machines

Founded in 1948, SETIC (Roanne, France) was taken over by the Gauder Group in 1987. The company designs and manufactures High-speed Rotating Machines for metallic and FO cables. Its highly skilled engineering and R&D departments develop innovative equipment solutions, as well as new and improved cable manufacturing processes.

GAUDER – Gauder Group, the specialist in Second-Hand Wire & Cable Machinery

Specialist in off-the-shelf resale equipment since 1976, GAUDER (Liège, Belgium) develops and maintains a large and modern stock of 1000 machines on 20,000 sqm premises as well as a fully equipped workshop for equipment reconditioning, reconfiguring and automation.

Gauder Group China, East Asian Subsidiary

Starting in 1999, Gauder Group China manufactures its own machines for the national market from Changzhou (Jiangsu), working to provide European quality and performances while utilising fully the service’s from China at competitive levels. A fully equipped workshop and a trial department are available for production tests, as well as bows and spare parts. The sales division is located in Shanghai.

Gauder Group USA, North American Subsidiary

Gauder Group Inc. has been created in 1991 to cover the North American market for all group products, using the resources of the group to react as fast as possible to the customer demands. The Greensboro (NC) facility includes a demonstration and testing area available to set-up new machines for evaluation and trials with customer’s own products as well as a stock of bows and spare parts.
